This is a kind and sincere book about a girl named Marinka and her cat named Rudasya. In these funny, touching, and instructive stories, Rudasya will help children understand how to behave in different situations — both ordinary and not so ordinary. For children of primary and secondary school age.
Here are a couple of variations of the main character work. A lot of time was spent searching for variations and references for the characters' poses and shapes.
This book contains nearly 100 illustrations (mix of spots, pages, half spreads and lot more) The main goal is to show the dinamic and emotions of every part of this story

A small glance to my illustration process. Adding some mid tones into my drafts also helps to see the values and composition. The is an example how step by step illustration became a real one in publishes book!
I always try to find as much as possible cover variations and show to my clients.
In this project the last one was chosen as a creative direction and still have a huge the difference between the final one.
It's one of my favourite part of this project. This story is about the adventures of the main characters, and the idea was to have the memories about each of them. 2 of the endpapers are similar but symmetrical, it reflects the beginning and ending of this tale
